AP 4141 Fe inhibits iron and ferrous metals extremely well when used in Hydrochloric acid and Sulfuric acid. Thus, it prevents the increase of hydrogen embrittlement by minimizing the formation of hydrogen gas during the dissolution of the oxide layer on the material in acid.
