Colored coatings with AD 6112 Y can be obtained by adding dye to the electrophoretic lacquer resin, colored lac coating and firing. The color coated with AD 6112 Y may vary according to the color of the bottom metal. The coating is transparent and consequently the quality and appearance of the substrate affects the color.
Vivid yellow colors can be obtained when coated on aluminum and silver. Darker dirty colors are obtained on darker coatings such as nickel.
